Tauern Cycle Track
The Tauern Cycle Track is one of the most beautiful cycling routes in Austria. It starts in Krimml and goes all the way to Passau winding its way through the most scenic regions of Salzburg. On route you pass many tourist attractions and natural beauty spots. You can ride the
entire track nonstop (no barriers or intermissions) - which means 270 km of pure pedaling pleasure!
The small Salzburger National Park Hotel is located right on the Tauern bike path, in the middle of the first sub-section "Krimml / Zell am See".
We are therefore the ideal starting point to the Tauern bike path in both directions to explore. About 35 km to the lake Zell am See or 35 km to the famous Krimml waterfalls.
You can return with the bicycle transportation of the Pinzgau railway, which is for free with the National Park Card.
Uttendorf / Weisssee - The cyclists' paradise in the Hohe Tauern National Park has been awarded the title "Bicycle Friendly Community". 45 kilometres of marked mountain bike trails (from easy to difficult) will take you to the picturesque Sonnberg Mountain and through the
scenic Stubachtal Valley.
The best cycling and biking conditions in Europe await you. In the district of Pinzgau you can expect 720 km of marked mountain bike trails: Cycling and biking in the Hohe Tauern National Park is an unforgettable experience!
